Suzy

I can’t help myself. I launch myself at him and he catches me “with an oomph. His hands immediately grabbing my ass as I start kissing him all over his face. He growls and pushes me up against the back wall.

“Eddie…” Ryder starts but Eddie cuts him off

“I have been freaking the fuck out for the last twelve hours trying to figure out what the fuck happened at the hospital and why I haven’t heard from Suzy. Only to hear that she was with you. You couldn’t even give me a fucking phone call.” His voice keeps rising until he is practically screaming at us. I walk around Ryder putting myself in front of him.

“Eddie, stop yelling at him. He was just taking care of me. It’s my fault. I just wanted him to take me home. He makes me feel safe.”

Ryder puts his arm around me bringing me flat against him. “Baby, that's not the point. He is right. I know for a fact that I would freak the fuck out if anything happened to Verity and no one called me. I am sorry man. All that was running through my head was that I needed to get my girl home and take care of her.” Eddies demeanor changes.

“Fuck, Suzy. I was so worried about you.” He starts to cry, and it makes me feel like a piece of shit for not calling him. I walk out of Ryder’s arms and over to Eddie giving him a hug. He breaks down and drops his head on my shoulder.

“I really am sorry Eddie.” He pulls away looking me over.

“Look at your lip and your neck. What the hell happened?” He asks with fury in his eyes. It’s actually the first time I remember that my neck is bruised. I run my hand over it, having a flashback of the night before and a shudder runs through me. Ryder is by my side in an instant. It’s like he knows I need him.

“Shh, it’s okay love, I’ve got you.” Eddie looks at me in concern.

“I’ll be okay, Eddie. I’m not ready to talk about it yet, but when I am ready you’ll be the first to know.” I say as I lean into Ryder’s touch.

Eddie looks over to Ryder “If you hurt her I will kill you.” he says with a determined look on his face.

Ryder sticks out his hand for Eddie to shake “If I were to hurt her I wouldn’t expect anything lest.
